ABISHA, 22, a Devon-born singer, was heading for fashion school until she followed her mother’s advice and accepted an offer to study Sociology at Goldsmiths University.

It was here she had a chance encounter with 1970s songwriter and producer Mike Chapman, who was behind Blondie’s smash hit Parallel Lines, with whom she spent three years honing her songwriting craft. Following the success of her 2017 hit, All That, the British alt-R&B singer has since released four other songs, with her latest, Confused, winning her critical acclaim from publications including Notion Magazine, which labelled her as ‘one of our queer trailblazers for the coming year’.
